Since posting last we have had a lot of excitement in our lives. I spent a few days in NB with my parents and B took the girls to BN to see his Aunt C, Uncle K, J, and grandma and grandpa. I went back and forth and spent some time with them too. We went to Sea World and the Wildlife Drive thru Safari. It was fun to see my girls experience these things for the first time. I loved Sea World too.
We got to feed the dolphins and saw a sea lion show that was hilarious. The girls got to see the ski show and all their stunts - they are ready for Uncle K to teach them some moves. But seeing the Shamu show was the best. They are amazing creatures.
The highlight of the Safari ride thru was feeding and elk in my window. It was really neat but I kept having flashes of the scene when the big deer wakes up in the car on Tommy Boy - I wanted the elk to get away from the car quickly! The ostriches kept trying to put their heads in the windows and the kids found feeding the zebras to be the most fun.
Since then we have come back to CS and have been hanging out here - swimming a lot and playing with friends.
Update on mom: Mom is home from the hospital and is doing well. She is still recovering slowly and received antibiotics on an outpatient basis for about a week. She is starting to get out more. She got her hair cut yesterday and even was going to try to go to church this morning. We are thanking God for her recovery.
Update on A Bear: We visited with the pediatric pulmonologist last week and he went over several things with us. It appears that there is some residual scarring in her lungs from the pneumonia. She also has a cyst in her left lung that developed in the process. He says there are two ways we can look at the cyst: 1) it can be a collection spot for infection and cause her to get sick again if we are not careful or 2)it can just reabsorb itself into her lung and go away. We are going to get her tested for TX allergies and stay on top of her colds/allergies as much as possible.
Update on B: B trained in H all last week with some different store managers and learned a lot about the gun audit system. He is having a good time learning about Gander Mountain. He will be in his store starting tomorrow. His DM will be here as well continuing his training.
This weekend B got to go on a men's retreat with guys from church. They fished, swam, ate fish and just got to hang out. They invited all the mommies and kiddos out to the lake today for swimming and a cookout. We had so much fun. It is nice to be able to do some family things together. We look forward to continuing this with B's new job.
I know there is more but I am very tired at the moment - will add more later :)
