Easter 2008

This year the girls are really understanding the true meaning of Easter. We celebrated the life, death and resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ over the last two weeks with our resurrection eggs. The girls are thankful to JC for giving us eternal life through the forgiveness of our sins. What a great sacrifice for God to give up his beloved son. As a parent I think about the thought of giving up my child for the good of others and I become overwhelmed with emotion. What a blessing that Jesus saves.

But of course we also had some Easter Bunny fun too! Happy Easter and may God bless you.

Fun in the sun with our cousins in NB

MM and A Bear love playing with Little E and S. We spent some time at the park in the great sunshine and played until we could not play anymore. We love you and miss you little guys!

Howdy from Texas Ya'll!

The first grade classes from PC put on a play last week teaching us all about Texas. They took us on a tour of most of the major cities and taught us a lot of TX history. MM was responsible for telling us that "Texas has had 6 flags fly over it!" The play was adorable and MM and I were glad that Daddy had the day off to see the play as well. We are proud of you MM!

March 11th - my baby is 1+1+1+1...4 already!

Our little one is now four - I cannot believe it. B and I are amazed at how much she has grown and how fast the time has gone. This year A Bear wanted a cupcake party so we spent the month of February hunting down some great cupcake goodies and getting ready for an icing of a good time. Her real birthday was during spring break so we celebrated the day with just our family and then had extended family and friends in town for her party on the weekend. She spent her real birthday playing, eating yummy snacks and riding on the saddle at the Roadhouse! At her party the kiddos played on the new playscape, the trampoline, the rices boxes, sidewalk chalk and more... We then enjoyed the cupcake pinatas and the cupcake cakes! Mommy had fun making these. We love you A Bear and are looking forward to many more birthdays to come.

Goodbye to our friends...

We have a family from our home church group that is going to be moving to Qatar in less than a week. A few weeks ago we had a little get together for them and all the children had a great time playing in the back forty while the parents got to chit chat and learn more about their adventures overseas. R & H we are going to miss you and your family terribly. We are praying for blessings to be bestowed upon you and for you to be able to spread the good word if the situation arises. We love you - hugs!

presents from here are a girl's best friend...

When B returned from Vegas I found two of these little blue boxes on the breakfast table. He spoils me! Inside was the necklace and bracelet with the little tiffany stamped hearts. I love it.

Have you ever wanted to be wrapped up?

The girls decided that it would be funny to wrap one of them up in the rocketship wrapping paper. I wish I would have had a tape to record the giggles that I heard coming from the inside of the adorable package!

PC Spring Carnival

MM's elementary school has a great spring carnival that raises an outrageous amount of the money for the school. Last year they raised $80000 for a new playground and this year I think they raised about $70000 for smartboards for all the classrooms. It is ridiculously crazy! The first grade beverage tub auctioned off $1100. A ceramic painted beverage tub....I told B if he paid that much for a beverage tub that I would hope it would be waterford crystal. The kids enjoyed themselves anyway - playing all the carnival games and seeing their friends.

Playing with my new toy from Christmas

I really have had some fun learning all the new setting on my "jewelry" from Christmas. I am really trying to take some good pictures of the girls at all the ages and stages. I was playing with the lighting and the ISO setting and these are some of the pics I got. Enjoy!

It has been too long...

I will try to recap the last few weeks for you in the following blog entries...
